Christmas Eve is here and most of us will enjoy the holiday season with family and friends. We’ll have wonderful celebrations with mounds of delicious food and treats, not to mention the piles of gifts under the beautifully decorated tree in our warm, cozy homes. But this isn’t true for everyone!
Many men and women will be on the road, far from home, family and friends, not because they really want to, but because their job demands it and they need to make a living. They, like many of us, just want the basics of life and to support the families. Because the demand for all those toys and gifts is so great, and our nation is dependent upon delivery by truck, they will be working.
Let’s not forget them. Let’s remember them, thank them and pray for them. Let’s make a little more room for them when we’re out on the roads this holiday season. And share the love of Jesus Christ with them — He’s the Reason for the Season.
